In its continual effort to help aviation personnel to excel
in this industry, GLOBALJET recognizes Ed Bolen as a person with a “b!~more”
attitude and drive. His concern and devotion to the field of aviation is
represented by the pillars of Education, Community, Mentorship, and Partnership
of the b!~more campaign. The education and leadership he has provided over the
years has been a guiding flame for future generations to follow. From the time
he was the captain of his university tennis team to representing aerospace, and
each of us on Capital Hill, Ed has shown the diversity it takes to be engaged
in life, family, work, and those of his community. Through his mentorship he
sets the example as a professional that teaches with wisdom and experience
because of his years as an advisor to US presidents, NASA, manufactures, and
suppliers. When the recession was at it peak, it was his “No Plane, No Gain,”
platform that not only brought us out of its depths. It was his knowledge of
business world’s need for great aviation partners that brought General
Aviation, the business community, and the private sector back together again.
It has been 15 years since he took the left seat as
President and Chief Executive Officer of the NBAA, and this convention bears
the fruits of his labors.
Ed, we at GLOBALJET want to thank you for the example you
have set as being more in your career. You are the flame that lights the way.
Contributions by GLOBALJET staff
As part of the b!~more campaign, GLOBALJET teamed up with 4-Imprint to assist a women’s shelter in Hartford, CT. GLOBALJET’s volunteers provided and packaged personal care kits for displaced women and families, using multi-purpose tote bags contributed by 4-Imprint. Along with the kits, educational materials were donated by local libraries. The b!~more campaign emphasizes Education, Community, Mentorship, and Partnership as important pillars to promote self-reliance and encourage individual worth so that you can “enhance your culture.” Life changing improvements start with you.
GLOBALJET also sponsors the John F. Rahilly Scholarship for Aircraft Technicians working toward their A&P Certificate. Donations can be submitted through the NBAA scholarship fund.
The 2019 Maintenance Conference was a spectacular show. One of the biggest highlights for us was the John Rahilly Memorial Scholarship presentation. Linda, Christopher, and Jeffery Rahilly, along with JD McHenry, presented W. Christopher Stanford (student) with the award designated for future A&P technicians. With a record attendance of 1,300 to the conference, GLOBALJET presented a segment of their professional development training to an enthusiastic breakout session group. As usual, NBAA’s efficiency enhanced the show by allowing B2B networking to happen smoothly. At the end of the three-day event, many of the attendees walked away enlightened and well-informed about opportunities to build their business and careers. Overall, it was a beneficial experience.
Thank you to John Agnew and his team at the First State Chapter PAMA for putting on a first class IA seminar. # 17 and over 300 attendees. Thank you for the opportunity to speak and be a part of such a great event.
Representing GLOBALJET, Rich Bean, President, spoke about the many ways that an individual can enjoy work, family, and life. He left the attendees with a challenge to b!~more in their life.
